In his paintings, Santini tries to transmit a message of expressive feelings and spiritual attachments for "love of life" and all its mysteries.
Santini is an action artist, painting whatever he feels at the moment ~ he considers himself an "Abstract Expressionist" with a strong relationship to the "Folk Art School". The media Santini uses is oil on canvas.
Santini is an Italian-born American citizen. He is a self-taught artist who after 35 years of collecting and appreciating fine art became involved in painting.
Santini has been a member of the Watchung Art Center in New Jersey for over twenty years. He is also a member of the Simon B. Chapman Museum and is one of the particpants of the Myrtle Beach Collectors of Art event.
He was also a former professional soccer player who played with the Lucchese S.S. of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. Santini has traveled extensively in Canada, Argentina, and the United States. A previous resident of New Jersey, he has now retired to Myrtle Beach, SC. where he enjoys painting for pleasure and serenity.
His work is collected by many throughout the United States and Canada. He is a member of the Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild and has several exhibitions at the Palmetto Studio Gallery on 8th, Collectors Cafe in Myrtle Beach and the Round Table Group. He also has a successful one man show at the Sunset River Art Gallery in Callabash, NC. Vittorio's work was most recently seen at Gifu Art Exhchange in Conway, SC. He was chosen as Artist of the month for June 2006.
